Global Warming Worries NHL

Forget the melting ice caps, flooding oceans and cranky polar bears. Hockey fans, your favourite sport might become extinct.

In response to the rising issue of global warming, NHL executives have created a new environmental council that tackles the issue of climate change. After all, hockey is played on ice. If temperatures continue to rise and winter disappears, hockey might be gone forever.

"This is a serious problem," said a vehement Bates Battaglia. "I'm doing what I can to represent the players of this league and protect the game we love. I will put an end to this evil weather," he finished. Battaglia represents NHL players on the new NHL environmental council. No one is really sure how he will contribute, nor does anyone know what the council is actually capable of doing.
