Calgary Stampeders Sign Jackrabbit To Roster

When you're part of a league that is belittled by the NFL and few players have any interest in playing for your team, what do you do? Invest in animals.

The Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League have signed a Jackrabbit to their roster.

"He's probably the fastest running back in the league," said GM Jim Barker. "He kind of runs sporadically and doesn't really follow the rules, but we're training him slowly. We'll develop this rabbit into a great player."

Calgary isn't the only team using the services of animals. The Saskatchewan Roughriders have sent their scouts to Grasslands National Park with the intention to sign some prairie dogs.
