Mario Lemieux Suspected of Illegal Child Labour

In an effort to get hockey noticed around North America, the NHL announced last May that superstar Sidney "Sid The Kid" Crosby played the last two weeks of the '06-'07 season with a broken foot. That was probably a publicity mistake.

"Sidney is still just a boy. There's a reason why they call him 'Sid the Kid,'" said Crosby's mother. "Mario Lemieux forced my boy to play despite his broken foot."

Sidney's mother is now charging Mario Lemieux (owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey club) with illegal child labour.

"This isn't the 17th century any more where you can just tell kids to do any darn thing for money," said Mrs. Crosby.
